I went into this story with excitement. I had never read anything by Leanore Elliot, but I love pretty much everything I read that Decadent Publishing puts out. I was even more excited that they created an erotica line, considering I am a total fan of erotica. It sort of has its own rules, plays its own game, and an author seems to have a touch more freedom with how they tell their story.
Right out of the gate, the author pulls us into Jazz’s world. The story is from her POV, I was watching not only her arousal, but the world through her eyes. The mission, Lieutenant Gilbeaux. She saw him and instant connection was spiked. However, there is a secret. This story isn’t called Lipstick and Jazz out of pure coincidence, oh no, this story has a naughty little twist to it that had me going ‘Oh, damn!’ And reading while wiggling in my chair.
I loved how the story is told by Jazz; I also love how the story doesn’t force itself on you and make any promises. This story is about a girl that sees a man that she is an attracted to, and she wants him, she fantasizes, and when she gets her chance she takes. Both parties are adults, in a grown up world. This is one of the best The Edge books I have read from Decadent, and it makes me want to go out and grab more of Leanore’s books!
